In an exciting new venture with British Wrestling, Leah San has been appointed into the new role of development officer for Wales.  Leah’s role is to help grow our sport within Wales, increasing participation and activity at all levels.

Funded by Welsh Wrestling through the National Lottery grant, Mark Charig (Chair) welcomed the appointment and said, “This is a great step forward for us. We are very pleased to welcome Leah to our team. Leah brings considerable experience from Welsh Judo, martial arts, and the wider community of Welsh sport.  We know there is already huge interest in wrestling in Wales, and eagerness to participate at all levels. As a volunteer organisation, it’s been difficult until now for us to provide the support needed to increase the number of clubs and organise more activities.  Leah’s role will now allow us to grow the number of clubs and help bring wrestling to more people in Wales.”
