Becoming a Wrestling Coach
The Welsh Wrestling coaching pathway is fully integrated into the British Wrestling system and we are keen to support individuals who are looking to coach wrestling as their primary sport or as a substitute strength and conditioning element of other training programs.
The current coach education pathway is included below and demonstrates how you can achieve your goal; if further support is required please use the following address education@britishwrestling.org
The coach education pathway has recently been streamlined to simplify the process and limit the time taken to become a coach, for example:
- Level 1 Assistant Coach (Wrestling): Course Practical Duration is 1 day (online theory done separately)
- Level 2 Certificate in Coaching (Wrestling): Course Practical Duration is 2 days (online theory done separately)
