Despite Storm Eunice, the tournament was held at the Windsor Leisure Centre on Saturday 19 February 2022 and Welsh Wrestling was represented by a strong team of 9 athletes under the watchful eye of Sue Jones (Commonwealth Games – Team Leader) and Coaches Alan Jones & Kane Charig.
Welsh athletes were entered into the following weight categories:

U57kgs – Shannon Alex Harry
Freestyle (FS)
U61kgs – Jack Panicucci
U65kgs – Cameron Clarke
U70kgs – Marc Shipman
U74kgs – Tom Nelson
U86kgs – Tommy Little, Oli Cole, Luke LoTurco & Roan Crocker
Sue Jones said, “I was very satisfied with the level of performance and although our team has a range of experience at this level, I am very happy that we picked up three medals, Welsh Wrestling is on the way up and I can feel a momentum building at just the right time before Birmingham 2022”.
