Welsh Wrestling fully supports the current system whereby British Wrestling selects national teams (GBR) to compete in United World Wrestling competitions and major events. GBR Selection meetings are held for all major championships whilst entry into lower-level competitions is decided based on athlete performance and development as part of the GBR performance pathway.
However, Welsh Wrestling is responsible for nominating Welsh team members to Commonwealth Games Wales for selection.
